For some time now i've been photographing the sea in front of my house. I do it all the time. Watching how the light, the wind, the clouds, the sun and the moon all play their part in changing its mood, has fascinated me. On one particular morning, as the fog was clearing, I took some photographs I've not yet been able to match. I've decide to show an exhibition of seven images from that morning and it sold out in a month. The light I witnessed that morning was a rare thing. And, whilst many could take the images, they weren't there, and I was. Photography can be as simple as that. Just being there. You have to put yourself in the position. This initial collection was just the start and I am now releasing each images one by one in my gallery Taylor-Jones & Son found on Deal High Street. The images are worked up as Giclee prints on Hannemuhle Photo Rag printed at ThePrintSpace in London. I use Giclee prints as they offer a wider range of papers and finishes to explore and offer a longer archival life. To prevent "cockling" I have the prints dry mounted on 3mm foamex. Prices range from £495 to £995.
